After college, I worked as a designer at Wigan Council and Shearings Holidays, I was then appointed in 2007 as senior designer at a design agency in Manchester where I stayed for five years. In this time, I worked on brand development and printed material for Carole Nash Insurance, rebranding of Waterfields the bakers, printed material for PriceWaterhouseCoopers & Ernst & Young, packaging work for many major vending companies throughout the UK, advertising & POS work for Vimto/Sunkist and brochure work for Wallace Arnold. For the next 8 years I ran the design facility at the Northwest Regional Development Agency, working with creatives who were regarded as the most talented in marketing, event management, web-development, film production and photography. This work resulted in an increase in the regional economy, skills development, regeneration, business support and increase the quality of life for people in the Northwest. I supplied design solutions for high profile projects, including London 2012 & the Cultural Olympiad, Northwest Tourism, The Open Golf Championship, The Regional Tourism Awards, Liverpool European Capital of Culture (including MTV Europe Awards, BBC Sports Personality of the Year & La Machine), Tatton Flower Show & Kendal Mountain Film Festival. I have developed the branding for projects such as Daresbury Science and Innovation Campus, Waterfront Barrow-in-Furness, National Biomanufacturing Centre and a variety of design work for European Regional Development Fund, Northwest Fund, MediaCityUK, Liverpool Biennial & Bionow. I have now established Curious Road which will supply the same high standard of design, including corporate branding, design consultation, printed material (from business cards to building wraps), exhibition stands, event styling, packaging, web-design and iphone/ipad applications. In association with a network of colleagues, who I have worked with for over 8 years on a major events, I can also offer an extended list of services including marketing advice, PR, event management, film production, photography, copywriting, 3D modeling, games development and motion graphics.
